About Ciara

A versatile and self-assured performer with extensive experience across multiple dance genres, my drive and passion for this art form gives me a refined artistry with unique performance qualities that I strive to incorporate into any work I undertake. I am deeply driven when it comes to dance and approach every project I undertake with drive and creativity. 

Growing up in Kerry, Ireland, I have always had a deep passion for dance. When I started ballet training at 9, attending class on a Tuesday afternoon became the centre of my week. With The Academy of Dance under the directorship of Clarissa Michaux, I worked through my IDTA ballet grades. I first discovered the exhilaration of performing on stage through the annual shows Clarissa produced which I absolutely adored. After finishing my junior cert examinations at school, I moved to Dublin to pursue full-time study at the College of Dance. Here, I also developed a love for contemporary and jazz alongside ballet. In 2020, I was accepted into The School of Ballet Theatre UK BA(Hons) course in Ballet Performance. Training at The School of Ballet Theatre UK allowed me to gain career-shaping experiences, allowing me to evolve my passion for dance to become a passionate dancer who is driven to create beautiful movement and explore the boundaries of classical and contemporary styles. I am an incredibly diligent and conscientious individual, giving 100% in all I do. My attention to detail is a valuable skill, allowing retention of specific information and quickly absorbing choreography, along with enthusiastically applying feedback, resulting in a very proactive approach to my practical work. 

I am dedicated to continuous learning, always seeking new challenges and opportunities for growth. When not immersed in dance, I enjoy aerial hoop and helping at my local dance studio. I believe a well-rounded life contributes to a richer professional outlook. As an approachable and open-minded individual, I always demonstrate politeness and professionalism and take pride in continuously displaying a positive attitude towards life. I am beyond excited to begin developing and growing this creative aspect of my life even further through working collaboratively with choreographers and unique companies around the world.
